Lay the groundwork for your career as a top guide! You will develop a solid base knowledge and practical skills in interpreting animal behaviour, identifying birds and plants, tracking, astronomy, 4 x 4 driving, and leading safaris in a Big Five territory. All of this, while upholding the ethics of a true conservationist.

  • Hospitality Skills (hosting guests on a five-star safari)

1-year course can have the option of a 3- or 6-month Internship – both guarantee work experience/placement, subject to conditions

We will assist interested graduates with securing work experience/placement – carefully choosing the right partners to match our graduates’ individual career profiles and connecting them with professional networks to establish their careers.

Qualifying requirements:

  • 18 years and older
  • Professional Drivers Permit (PrDP) – South African or international
  • Registration with the National Department of Tourism (NDT) would be to your advantage – possibility of which depends on a graduate’s visa type 
  • Correct documents i.e. VISA being in place

There is an additional cost for the Placement/Internship over and above the course fee
